FunCookies is the creation of Francois Goedhuys, a Belgian baker who
specializes in custom cookie designs. Girard Gourmet in La Jolla, California,
has been the home of FunCookies since 1987, Francois started with Superbowl
cookies for the 1988 Superbowl and has since added cookies for every major
holiday, sporting event, and political occasion. Now tourists and locals alike
flock to Girard Gourmet to view the window to see the cookie of the day. They
might see a California coastal scene with pelicans, seals, whales, dolphins,
fish and the specialty La Jolla cookie. His juvenile Garibaldi fish cookie was
featured in the March 2003 issue of the National Geographic Traveler magazine.
Francois revels in creating custom designs for any occasion including museum
openings, corporate ground-breaking events and corporate logos, as well as,
